Maritime Safety

This is a five day course which is run at least once a month and the following components are presented to make up the entire Offshore Survival Course:

• Elementary First Aid (STCW Approved)
• Basic Fire Fighting
• Helicopter Underwater Escape Techniques (HUET)
• Safety Familiarization Training – (STCW Approved) This course is also required to obtain a seaman’s discharge book.
• IMIST – International Minimum Induction Safety Training – This is an OPITO approved course, and is the basic requirement needed to work on Offshore Installations.
